I thought I would share yesterday's sermon with you today. Its blessed my soul. Luke 17:1-6 'Increase My Faith' Chapter 17 is broken down into the three parts. Vs.1-10, Jesus' Lesson Vs. 11-19, Ten Lepers Vs. 20-37, Last Day This sermon is about how to handle being offended. In verse one Jesus gave a promise that you WILL be offended. VS. 1-2, Promise, We have to be able to handle offences. It will be impossible for us to be able to go to the next level if any and every thing gets to us. a. The promise is PROVIDENTIAL v.1, The mere fact that you know it’s going to happen should give us a head start on getting somebody together not to do it. This is a preemptive strategy, getting yourself prepared before it happens, because you know it going to happen—it’s providential. b. The promise is also CONSEQUENTIAL v. 2, One of the reasons why we need to handle offences is because there is consequence that comes with the offence. In other words, God will fight your battle. The battle is not yours it’s the Lords? He can’t fight if you’re fighting. VS. 3-4, Practice, These verses provide application on how to handle being offended. 1. We should CONSIDER SELF. v.3a, Take heed to yourselves, pay attention to yourself or watch yourself lest you fall into the same temptation. Lest you need the same forgiveness you need to give. We should not think to highly of ourselves because we are all sinners. 2. We need to CONFRONT THE SITUATION. v. 3b, When our brother sins against us we need to confront the situation. We need to go to our brother and rebuke them—telling them that they have sinned against us. But I’m a firm believer that when we come to our brother—we need to come correct. Galatians 6:1, “Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.” Ephesians 4:15 “Speak the truth in love!” We can confront our brothers and sisters in love. We don’t have to give them a piece of our mind. We can let them know, they are wrong or they have wronged us, in a good spirit. 3. We have to CONSTANTLY FORGIVE. v. 3b-4, I mean we have to be consistent when it comes to forgiveness. Our forgiveness has to be unlimited especially when our brother repents. As many times our brother repents we are mandated to forgive him. I believe the reason why we need to be forever forgiving is because our God is forever giving. VS. 5-6, Prescription, What we need to be able to handle offences and be forever forgiving is FAITH. v.5, 'Lord Increase My Faith' The disciples had enough sense to understand what they needed is more faith to deal with being offended. They knew within their own strength they were doomed and they needed more faith. Church we need to come to the realization that we need more faith to deal with life on life’s terms. a. Faith will give us CONFIDENCE. v. 6a, If you have the faith the size of a mustard seed you can say unto this Mulberry tree be uprooted and planted into the sea...Faith makes you feel like you can because you can. b. Faith also will give you CONTROL. 6b, If you have the faith the size of a mustard seed...it will obey you. SAY YES!!!

We had a great time at worship yesterday a Gideon rep Bro. Gibbs came by and shared with us and I preached the second sermon in our series 'How to Handle a Trump Presidency.' Yesterday's message was 'Make America Great Again.' Ezekiel 33:1-20 1. God sent a Watchman-This is God's way of blessing His people He sends a preacher to proclaim His truths and to give instruction for righteous living that leads to life and avoids death. The watchman is put in place to alert the people of any danger on the horizon if not the people's blood is on his hands. Blow your horn. vv. 1-6 2. God sent a Warning-When we get out of line He warns of the wrath to come and urges us to repent. He instruction us to turn from our sin and live. Turn and live. If the people do not listen to the warning and the watchman blows his horn, if he warns the people, their blood is not is his hands. vv. 7-11 3. We see the peoples Wickedness-This text and the sermon is about sin. If we are going to make America great again we (the church) need to turn from our wicked ways. 2 Chronicles 7:14. God is only one who can make America great therefore our leaders need to take their cues from the Lord both political and spiritual. vv.12-20 God Bless America
Today's points to my message 'How to Handle a Trump Presidency' 1. Romans 8:28-I don't know how and I don't know what but there is something GOOD going to come out of a Trump presidency to those who love God and are called according to His purpose. 2. Romans 12:17-'When they go low, we go high' Michelle Obama. I told the church I refuse to do to Trump what they did to President Obama. Gross legislative obstructionism, blatant birtherism and out right presidential disrespect. 3. Ephesians 6:12-TRUMP is not our enemy. If we fail to correctly identify the real enemy America will suffer from a temporary loss. The enemy conquers by division therefore united we stand but divided we fall. That's how you handle a Trump presidency! Stay tuned to next weeks message 'Make America Great Again' Ezekiel 33:1-12

Thank you Brother Aaron Frasier for delivering us a powerful word tonight on the first saying of Jesus from the cross, "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do." The scripture is Luke 23:26-38. Some powerful insights that Aaron brought out in this text: 1. Simon of Cyrene was instrumental in following the teaching of Jesus about "taking up your cross". He took up the cross for Jesus and literally followed Him to the place of His death. If we are to be Christians, we are also called to carry our cross and follow Him even unto death.. 2. We must be careful not to seek after the God of comforts but to actively share in the sufferings of Christ. Christianity is not about our comfort. 3. From the cross, our Savior spoke, "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do" he spoke this so that those who have trusted in Him can have forgiveness of sins. It is available to all, but not allow will choose forgiveness, because not all will choose Christ. He justified us by completing this work on the cross. We need to be actively pursuing to minister to others so they can have the promises God has for us.. Thank you, Brother Aaron for sharing the gospel message with us.
